Bonnaroo - Booth and Panel
Calling all music lovers! Launch Pad will have a booth set up in Bonnaroo’s Planet Roo Thursday-Sunday. Located in the middle of Centeroo, Planet Roo is a haven for sustainability, wellness, and global consciousness. With representation from a diverse group of non-profit organizations, this space is an opportunity to learn, relax, and get inspired to take impactful action.
Also, on Friday 6/14 at noon you can find us speaking at the How Stage as part of a panel titled “I’LL KEEP YOU WARM, WON’T LET YOU SHIVER”: Critical Services for At-Risk Communities. Led by Shower the People, Nashville-based nonprofits will discuss the services they provide to underserved communities in Nashville, including people living with the consequences of homelessness and queer/trans youth. Panelists will share how to utilize their services and important ways Bonnaroovians can do similar work in their own communities, no matter where they live.
Stories of Hope featuring Launch Pad
Launch Pad will be featured in the weekly service at Connection UMC speaking about the work of safer sleep as part of the series "Stories of Hope." In this series, Connection is calling on their congregation to “Get inspired to live out the Easter story by learning how organizations in Middle TN are sharing hope with our community.” We join a great cadre of featured community based agencies including Trinity Community Commons, Community Resource Center, hapi, MashUp, etc.
Housing Navigation: A Launch Pad Education Event
Our young adults have to find their way through a maze of resources in their search for safe sleep. It is important that we as staff and volunteers know about the systems they are navigating so that we can better support them. Join us for a presentation that will touch on resources availble for housing assistance in the Nashville area, struggles our young people consistantly encounter, and how we try to support them through it. Sign up today on the Eventbrite Page.
This presentation will be facilitated our very own Program Director, Micah Sciarappa
Food for Thought
Hungry to learn? Join Second Harvest for this free event that will include a conversation about gender, identity, and hunger in the LGBTQIA+ community with Straight Facts and Nashville Launch Pad followed by an open discussion.
An optional tour led by a member of our External Affairs team will begin at 5:30 PM for interested parties.
While this event is free, we will be collecting food and monetary donations at check-in!
